Points to be remembered :
The precis should be written in one’s own language.
The phrases, idioms, examples, quotations used by the author shouldn’t be used
in the precis.
It should also be noted that one has to reproduce the original passage without
giving one’s own comments about the passage.
A precis should be a self-contained unit. It should be fairly intelligible even to a
person who has not gone through the passage.
